US Embassy and the American Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia working together on a new initiative.

We believe that the USA Alumni Club will become a way to bring together exceptional people such as yourselves who share experiences in common through your time studying or doing research in the USA. (This will be an umbrella organization jointly administered by the US Embassy and AmCham that will include individuals as well as existing alumni organizations in Slovenia, such as the Fulbright Club of Slovenia, the Ron Brown Alumni of Slovenia, the Harvard Club of Slovenia and so on, who wish to participate.)

If you have not already given us your contact information (name, title, private/business address, email,etc.), program information (Janez Novak, Fulbright Scholar, Columbia University, Economics, 1993 or Špela Kovač, UCLA, PhD Biology, 2008),and your curriculum vitae (if desired) please send it to: alumni@amcham.si and taftccw@state.gov .

One of our first big initiatives is to create an experts database to be housed at AmCham, so if you would like to participate in that, please include in addition to the above:

1. your field of expertise (e.g. finance, biochemistry, IT)

2. a CV

3. a written consent (in Slovene is fine) stating that you allow the American Chamber of Commerce to release this information for potential job-related opportunities.

The USA Alumni Club is a new initiative and as such we would greatly appreciate any ideas you have for future alumni events or ways we can work together to the benefit of the Slovenia and US. Please feel free to call or email us – we want to hear from you!
