Slovenia Business Run, an international event endorsed by AmCham Slovenia, invites you and your colleagues to combine fun, excercise, networking and charity on May 23, 2014 at Bled.

Slovenia Business Run is a competition of company teams in running around the only natural island of Slovenia. The event brings together active employees that embody team spirit and foster an active lifestyle both in business and leisure. Each team comprises three members who have to complete the idyllic roundlake course in a relay style race. Each runner runs a lap around the lake individually and, with a clap of hands, passes the (imaginary) baton to the next member of the team, who then starts to run. When the third runner finishes the race,the team is done. Lap times of all three team members add up for the team’s final score. Good runners can make better time, while the not so good runners often surprise us with equally good results. It’s a lovely distance though; it takes from 25-35 minutes per runner. The focus is team work and putting yourself out there for a team effort!

And this is just a warm-up.

Clapping hands in the relay is only a part of the event’s focus. The social dinner that follows the race encourages the exchange of opinions and ideas and provides a relaxed enivironment for casual networking and fun. Then there is the award ceremony and some music for a smooth slide into a nice Friday evening.

While the companies of the participating teams present themselves through their teams, each finished lap around the lake contributes 13€ to the charitable fund – which is dedicated to help men and women with learning diasabilities to achieve their goals.
