We welcome the renewal of the Anti-corruption action Plan of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, while proposing amendments to the program. A strong anti-corruption policy with clear views and measures and with an effective program must be one of the priorities of the Government of Slovenia. The program for eliminating systemic corruption is crucial for the creation and functioning of a competitive business environment, for economic growth and for restoring confidence in the government and its institutions.

We propose amendments in two areas:

1. preparation of a plan and provision of resources for raising awareness;

2. establishment of an effective system of prevention and detecting violations and potential fraud.

The government needs to serve as an example to the people and must actively commit to compliance of operations in its jurisdictions.
