The introduction of the new taxes will not solve the problem of a sustainable health care system in Slovenia, was the main message of the meeting of AmCham Finance Committee, that focused mainly on proposed health care reforms.

The meeting was attended by Maja Krumberger MS, President of the Slovenian Insurance Association, who expressed some concerns about the new measures, which will actually involve more payments and less rights despite the assurances that the scope of rights remains unchanged.

Slovenian health care today needs comprehensive reform, not just new taxes and a change in the financing of health services.
