We are proud that Ajša Vodnik, MSc, CEO, AmCham Slovenia was elected for the Chair of AmChams in Europe (ACE). After five years of Slovenia hosting the headquarters of this important organization in which MSc Vodnik was Vice Chair, her colleagues from 44 countries have now elected her as Chair.

After the election, M.Sc. Ajša Vodnik said: “It is a great honor and responsibility for me that my colleagues elected me as Chair and thereby showed their confidence in me, not only in me but in the whole of AmCham Slovenia … I am aware that we are facing difficult times, and I believe that we, the business community, can play an important role in improving the living and business conditions in our countries. My priority will be to promote the values ​​of peace, prosperity, good international relations, and democracy. In my program, I emphasized the importance of empowering each individual, team, and AmCham who are committed to working for the common good in their local communities. As an important wish, I will also present that all AmChams pay even more attention to young people and intergenerational cooperation. In this segment, AmCham Slovenia is a model for many others in Europe.”

Elias Spirtounias, AmCham Greece, as Vice President and Asli Özelli, AmCham Turkiye/ABFT and Daniel Andrich, AmCham Germany, were also elected to the new Executive Committee as members of the Executive Committee. There has been a draw in the election for the Treasurer position. We will NOW begin the second round of voting; it will last until  November 15, 2023. The new Executive Committee will begin its mandate in January 2024.
