AmCham Young ProfessionalsTM meeting with Boris Koprivnikar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Administration of the Republic of Slovenia.  Mr. Koprivnikar participated at this year World Government Summit in Dubai, attended by 8,000 participants from 138 countries, where countries exchange experience, proposals, and concrete solutions for their better management and cooperation.

At one of his meetings with AmCham Young Professionals, gathered in Snowball group, the idea of employee exchange was born within Partnership for Change. Young Professionals in Snowball group were also involved in the formation of Slovenia’s initiative to become Green reference country in Digital Europe. What will happen this time?

Boris Koprivnikar has been facing the challenges of public administration for twenty years. For a decade, he managed a public institution with a complex organisational scheme, the Association of Social Institutions of Slovenia, which combines 99 providers with over 10,000 employees, providing services to more than 21,000 users within the public network. These experiences will also be valuable in his management of the Ministry. He sees public administration as a service that has to ensure efficient support for citizens, various organisations and all state administration and public-sector bodies.
