The Three Seas Initiative (3SI) is a political and economically motivated platform that aspires to improve connectivity between twelve EU Member States located in the Baltic, Adriatic, and Black Seas regions.

Its primary goal is to improve transportation, energy, and digital infrastructure connections along the EU’s north-south axis. These links are meant to be trustworthy, long-lasting, and inclusive, boosting EU unity and enhancing transatlantic partnerships.

The program aims to increase the region’s competitiveness both within the EU and abroad. As partners in this initiative, the United States, Germany, and the European Commission all play key roles.
