We cordially invite you to the AmCham Business Breakfast

“Foreigners: Not a Question of Yes or No, but How?”
Opening Society, Minds, and Hearts.

TOPICS:

Slovenia can either be a small country or just the right size; the decision is up to us. This decision is related to whether we will have an open foreign policy and cooperate actively and equally with other countries and international organizations.

It is equally important to consider how we will welcome foreigners into our society. This involves creating an environment where they feel welcome to work and contribute to society and the economy, as Slovenia is currently experiencing record-low unemployment rates, an aging population, a declining birth rate, and a loss of talent. In addition, it is important to welcome foreign investors who bring knowledge, development, opportunities, and jobs.

We can only be successful if our economic, social, and environmental factors are competitive, stable, and predictable. We must also open our society, minds, and hearts while respecting our traditions, culture, and language. We should understand that diversity makes us rich.
