Andreja škofič Klajnšček, Deloitte d.o.o., co-chair of the Finance Committee
Andreja is a director of the Slovene tax practice. She has more than 15 years of experience in the field of tax consulting and has been working for Deloitte for 10 years. Andreja has a bachelor’s degree in economics and is currently completing her masters’ studies in the field of tax law. In her professional career, she has specialized mostly in corporate taxes and indirect taxation, especially value added tax. Andreja has been involved in numerous business tax restructuring projects, as well as mergers and acquisition advisory projects for international and Slovene clients.She also participated in different tax projects including tax due diligences and tax reviews of companies covering manufacturing, transport, telecommunication and automotive industry.
Barbara Guzina, Guzina Kavšek svetovanje d.o.o., co-chair of the Finance Committee
More than 15 years of experience in the tax consulting. Worked for more than 10 years in 3 biggest international consulting companies. Worked for 8 years in Deloitte as a director and senior manager, for the last 4 years she was leading the tax and legal department. Gained her international tax experience in Deloitte Netherlands where she mainly focused in transfer pricing area and in Deloitte Portugal where she specialized in cross-border taxation. For the last 10 years she mainly worked with international companies. Regularly holds seminars and publishes articles in professional Slovene newspapers and magazines.
Finance Committee for 2015:
Financial Committee members will actively engage in making the Slovene tax and financial legislation more friendly for domestic and foreign investors. We will do so by proposing changes to the current laws and bylaws, actively engaging in public discussions regarding tax and financial reforms and informing members of the AmCham about our activities. Our goal is to become one of the discussion partners of any competent body in the field of taxation and financial issues.
