The American chamber of commerce – AmCham Slovenia and the U.S. Embassy in Slovenia organized traditional family sports picnic.

Gathered economists with their families, participants of AmCham Young Professionals, and the members of the USAlumni club congratulated to H.E. J. A. Mussomeli and U.S. citizens at their holiday, Independence Day – the 4th of July.

In a very relaxed atmosphere with a friendly and positive energy and sports socializing- playing football, volleyball, basketball and tennis- we did not forget about charity. AmCham Slovenia donated part of the funds collected to Zveza prijateljev mladine, a charity with which we enabled six children from socially endangered families camping in Kranjska Gora.

The most interesting part of the picnic seemed to be the football game where the managers and CEOs of Slovene, international and American companies active in Slovenia, played against famous Slovenes- Miran Stanovnik, Dejan Kontrec, Denis Avdič and Aljoša Rebolj and a former famous football player Stanislav Komolčar – Sine who played for a different team each halftime (from the economists team the same did Dejan Turk).

The economists won 9:6. Denis Avdič for the Famous and Primož Marinšek for the “VIP” team, were chosen as best players of the game.
