Slovene award for social responsibility HORUS won the national award for excellence in promoting entrepreneurship
IRDO and PRSS announce the call for the Horus award for the sixth time in the row (end of June), it will be open until October, the winners will be announced in December 2014. Entrepreneurial initiative Horus received a special reward today in the category of Responsible and inclusive entrepreneurship in the call of SPIRIT Slovenia.
(Ljubljana, June 11, 2014) IRDO – Institute for the Development of Social Responsibility and PRSS – Slovenian Association for Public Relations received today the National award for excellence in promoting entrepreneurship for the entrepreneurial initiative Slovene award for the Social Responsibility Horus at the business event “With knowledge to the excellence”, organized by SPIRIT Slovenia in Ljubljana. The award was given to prof. dr. Matjaž Mulej, president of Expert Council and Anita Hrast, Director of the IRDO Institute, by Tomaž Klemenc, acting director at SPIRIT Slovenia. Organizations were awarded in the category of Responsible and inclusive entrepreneurship in the framework of the call for the European award for promotion of entrepreneurship 2014 and therefore qualified into the second round of the competition, where they together with RRA LUR compete for the European award for promotion of entrepreneurship, which will be awarded in October 2014 in Naples, Italy.
The European award for promotion of entrepreneurship has been awarded since year 2006 for excellence at promotion of entrepreneurship and small enterprises on the national, regional and local level. Since the first contest there have been 2.500 projects that together supported more than 10.000 new enterprises. The objective of the awards is recognition of successful businesses and initiatives for promotion of entrepreneurship, presentation and sharing of best entrepreneurial practices and policies, achieve higher awareness about the role of entrepreneurs in society, encouraging and inspiring potential entrepreneurs.
