The Aim of Accelerator is to connect and to create a complete growing environment that will accelerate businesses and grow the economy as well as empower Slovenia’s visibility. Small businesses would connect through “acceleration engine” program in order to increase their value, gain necessary business insight and knowledge, to connect with established enterprises on a specific project and last but not least to increase visibility and sales in the international markets. Young companies would develop and innovate with mentorship of established companies while delivering innovation, energy and new business models in joint development.
Co-founders of the ABC are ABC TIM, BTC, XLAB and American Chamber of Commerce AmCham. Strategic partners are IBM Slovenia and University of Ljubljana. Contributors to ABC story are also successful entrepreneurs, representatives of the faculty, successful companies and global partner.
ABC represents the first such business center in Southeastern Europe. Companies entering the accelerator will gain strong mentorship network, access to the infrastructure support of BTC City and IBM totaling in more than 350,000 euros and 15,000 euros in cash in return for 8% share of the company.
Every start up company that will entry the accelerator need to have a good and motivated team and a product that is 80 percent developed and needs only final finishing and assistance in entering the global market.
The first accelerator program will kick of 30th March, the topic is “Smart City”. Around enterprises will be drafted in the first program. Subtopics in this program will be Smart home, Automated living, Smart mobility, Smart parking, Smart Retail, Open data, Internet of Things, M2M solutions, Smart connections, Smart energy, Smart metering, Smart grid, Smart lighting, Smart building, Urban planning, and Waste management. The second program, which opens in autumn, will be in the field of health. Applications for the first program are open until 25th March at www.abc-accelerator.com.
Each of the announced three-month program will offer more than 150 events and direct contact to established international trainers, development capital and access to a global network of investors.
