At the latest USA–Slovenia Business CoLab meeting, we hosted Brian Greaney, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. and Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Ljubljana, for an important discussion with representatives of U.S. companies in Slovenia on the business environment, competitiveness, and the future of transatlantic cooperation.

The discussion enabled an open exchange on the importance of transatlantic economic ties and the role of the U.S.–Slovenia partnership in driving competitiveness, innovation, and investment. Participants highlighted the significant contribution of U.S. companies to the Slovenian economy, particularly through job creation, knowledge transfer, and the introduction of advanced technologies. At the same time, key challenges were addressed, including regulatory complexity and the need for a more predictable and efficient business environment.

There was broad agreement that deepening collaboration between businesses and policymakers, both within Slovenia and across the Atlantic, will be essential to unlocking future opportunities and ensuring the continued growth of this strategic partnership.
