On February 11, 2020, Sašo Berger, CEO of S&T Slovenia d.d., resigned as President of AmCham Slovenia due to his new commitments and lack of time. Tomaž Lanišek will be acting President of AmCham Slovenia until the Regular Annual General Assembly in June 2020.

 

An exceptional organization such as AmCham Slovenia must have a president who can fully devote himself to it. I thank the Executive Office for the work done. I will continue to fully support the vision and operation of AmCham Slovenia,” said Berger. The current Vice President of AmCham Slovenia, Tomaz Lanišek, has taken over as acting President, stressing that he is proud of the many programs and initiatives that the business community of optimism and opportunities creates. He is especially pleased that the AmCham YOUng platform, which connects more than 1500 potential and current young business leaders, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and becoming an important role model for talent development at home and in Europe.

Tomaž Lanišek will, together with the Board of Governors, where Sašo Berger remains an active member, lead AmCham Slovenia until a regular annual general assembly in June 2020.
