The AmCham Slovenia community traditionally ended the year in a festive spirit at the inspiring AmCham Business Breakfast: Special Edition. At the event, we announced the Best of the Best 2025, recognizing the year’s best business practice.  The winner is Micromobility Coexistence – Zavarovalnica Triglav. At the center stage of the December AmCham Business Breakfast, we also proudly announced the recipients of the Business award of the future, AmCham Business Leaders of the Year 2026, which highlights role models in business leadership and the culture of dialogue, nominated by the YOUNG platform—Medeja Lončar and Robert Lešnik.

THE BEST BUSINESS PRACTICE(S) OF 2025, BEST OF THE BEST 2025

The winner of this year’s selection is Micromobility Coexistence – Zavarovalnica Triglav. Sincere congratulations on raising awareness of safer urban travel!

Young people are among the most frequent users of urban micromobility in Slovenia and also among the most common participants in traffic accidents. In 2022, e-scooter riders accounted for 66% of accidents, and half of those injured were not wearing helmets. Recognizing its role and responsibility as an insurer deeply connected to local communities, the company launched the Micromobility project to raise awareness and educate about safe urban travel. Through activations, the project explores people’s attitudes, motivations, and safety habits related to micromobility. Results include 6 national events, 26 safety workshops, 500 simulator participants, and 289,000 TikTok views.

Congrats also to the participants for their excellent business practices, the winning projects within the innovation and collaboration thematic set:

The December AmCham Business Breakfast, dedicated to what matters most in the business world – responsible leadership, great ideas, and the people who bring them to life – was marked by a special guest, Tine Urnaut. The captain of the Slovenian national volleyball team, one of the most heartfelt Slovenian athletes, and a symbol of reliability, dedication, and exceptional team spirit, shared his reflections on the power of community, the role of leadership, and the impact of personal example.
In 2026, he became the Ambassador of Botrstvo v športu, a charitable initiative of the Slovenian Olympic Committee and the Anita Ogulin Association, where he uses his visibility and integrity to support young talented athletes from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. His presence added a special dimension to the event – sincerity and encouragement for responsible leadership beyond the business world: “Every day, you must bring a hundred percent commitment and energy to the court.”

This year’s event was made even more special by its venue. We were hosted by the hotel that, with the December AmCham Business Breakfast, officially became part of one of the world’s most recognized and largest international hotel chains – DoubleTree by Hilton Ljubljana. This represents an important milestone in Slovenia’s hotel landscape and further confirms that Ljubljana is increasingly establishing itself as a destination that attracts global brands and top athletes.
