The journey has begun. Startup Overseas 2025 is here, a program by AmCham Slovenia, in collaboration with the @Slovenian Enterprise Fund, created to take Slovenian companies across the Atlantic and into the heart of the American market.

In our very first training, we welcomed @Anthony Russo. As President of TradeHub International and THI México, member of the International Council of Tec de Monterrey México, advisor to the World Trade Center Denver and the Small Business Development Center, and the proud representative of AmCham Slovenia in the U.S., Anthony brought exactly what our companies need: the American perspective, the challenges they must face, and the opportunities waiting on the other side of the ocean.

Together, we explored the core questions every business must ask before entering the U.S. market:

  • How to design the right entry strategy?
  • How to identify the right customers?
  • How to know if a product or service is truly ready for America?

Ten Slovenian startups and scaleups, from different industries, with different ambitions, but with the same determination, took part in this first step, but more training sessions await. And in October, the ultimate test: Colorado itself, where companies will meet the market face-to-face.

The program is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union, specifically through the European Regional Development Fund. It is implemented under the program “Content Support for Faster Global and Sustainable Growth of Innovative SMEs (DevelopmentPlus Program)” within the framework of the European Cohesion Policy Program 2021–2027.
