The AmCham Twin Tech business development delegation visited California from March 29 to April 3, 2026, exploring two exceptional innovation ecosystems that are each shaping the future in their own way: Silicon Valley in the San Francisco area and Silicon Beach in Los Angeles.

This year’s delegation brought together an especially large group of participants, enriching the visit with diverse perspectives, experiences, and opportunities for new connections. The program gave participants insight into the latest technology trends, sustainable solutions, future business models, the space and creative industries, and meetings with prominent representatives of the American innovation ecosystem.

In the first part of the delegation, participants visited Stanford University, Uber, and Salesforce. At Uber’s headquarters, they learned how technology is transforming mobility on a global scale. At Salesforce, the focus was on the concept of Agentic Enterprise Architecture, a model that connects systems, improves collaboration, and increases efficiency. An important part of the program was also the visit to Stanford University, one of the world’s most influential academic and innovation environments. Participants gained insight into the scale, ambition, and excellence of an institution that, through its close ties to research, industry, and the development of new technologies, remains one of the central hubs of the global innovation landscape. Particularly valuable was the opportunity to reconnect with good friends of AmCham Slovenia, including Professor Jure Leskovec of Stanford, recipient of the AmCham Business Leader of the Year 2024 recognition.

The second part of the delegation took place in Los Angeles, where technology intersects with media, creative industries, and sustainable business models. The delegation visited the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, an institution with more than 110 years of tradition, and met with its President, Todd Johnson. The visit also included a studio recording that captured the vibrant spirit of the AmCham Slovenia community.

A special focus in Los Angeles was the visit to the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI), where participants learned how innovation can drive sustainability and economic growth at the same time. Today, LACI represents an important support ecosystem for clean technology companies and has so far supported 537 startups, contributed to $1.5 billion in raised funding, $477 million in revenue, and the creation of more than 3,000 jobs.

The delegation program also offered insight into the broader pulse of Los Angeles. Part of the group visited SpaceX, while others stepped into the world of the Golden Globe Awards. The evenings provided an additional opportunity to experience the American sports and cultural scene. The delegation attended an LA Lakers game, where Luka Dončić also played, as well as the Los Angeles Kings vs. Nashville Predators game, made especially memorable by Anže Kopitar Legacy Night. The delegation concluded in true film-industry style with a visit to Warner Bros. Studios.
