Launch: USA Navigator and USA-Slovenia Business CoLab
In collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Ljubljana, we launched a new platform to support companies in Slovenia entering and investing in the U.S. market, along with a working group to strengthen U.S. investments in Slovenia.
In times of global uncertainty, cooperation between economies remains a key pillar of connection. At AmCham Slovenia, we strive for an open, competitive, and sustainable business environment – and a space where knowledge, responsibility, and collaboration are not just values, but everyday practice. With over 400 member companies generating more than €21 billion in annual revenue and employing more than 20,000 people, we represent a community of Slovenian, American, and international businesses that believe in the power of collaboration – across countries, generations, and ideas.
Transatlantic Economic Cooperation: More Than Numbers, a Shared Vision
In 2024, the economic partnership between the USA and Europe reached historically high levels, with trade exchange surpassing $2 trillion and nearly $275 billion in services exported from the USA to Europe. This confirms the enduring strength and importance of transatlantic ties.
Figures from the Transatlantic Economy Report 2025 further underscore this connection:
- 16 million jobs created on both sides of the Atlantic
- Half of the world’s personal consumption
- USD 7.5 trillion in total annual sales
- One-third of global GDP
- 64% of all global investments in the U.S. come from Europe
- 56% of total U.S. global investments are directed to Europe
Slovenia’s Role in the Transatlantic Economy
Slovenia, with its geographical location at the crossroads of Central Europe and access to the Adriatic Sea, increasingly plays a strategic role in strengthening the economic bridge between Europe and the USA.
- In 2024, U.S. goods exports to Slovenia reached USD 332 million, while Slovenian exports to the U.S. totaled USD 395 million.
- In 2023, U.S. service exports to Slovenia amounted to USD 188 million, and Slovenian service exports to the U.S. reached USD 96 million.
- U.S. investments in Slovenia totaled USD 395 million in 2023, directly supporting around 5,000 jobs – and about 18,000 jobs including supply chains and the broader ecosystem.
These numbers confirm that transatlantic cooperation is not just statistics – it is the foundation for growth, innovation, energy security, sustainable development, and stability.
USA Navigator and USA-Slovenia Business CoLab: Practical Responses to Business Needs
In response to current developments and the needs of AmCham Slovenia member companies, we introduced, together with the U.S. Embassy in Slovenia, the USA Navigator – a platform designed to support companies in Slovenia looking to enter, expand, or invest in the U.S. market.
USA Navigator provides:
- access to verified information and knowledge,
- connections with key stakeholders,
- expert support.
At the same time, we established the USA-Slovenia Business CoLab, a working group connecting American companies operating in Slovenia. Its goal is to facilitate the exchange of best practices, strengthen local partnerships, and find practical solutions for joint development and long-term growth.
A Bridge We Build Together
AmCham Slovenia’s role is clear: we connect business, knowledge, and society in a space of trust and cooperation. We are not a political voice, but an open platform that enables dialogue between companies, institutions, the state, and civil society.
We believe that USA Navigator and the USA-Slovenia Business CoLab are responses to today’s business needs – and a strong foundation for tomorrow’s cooperation.
A key connector in the transatlantic economy is also AmChams in Europe, the umbrella organization uniting 50 AmChams from 48 countries, chaired by Ajša Vodnik, CEO of AmCham Slovenia. Our commitment is clear: to build bridges between Europe and the U.S. based on shared values, trust, and long-term vision.
