Dear AmCham Slovenia members and friends! 

Join us at the first AmCham Business Breakfast in New Year. In 2024, we celebrate 25 years of the AmCham business community and the values that distinguish us at every step:

Trust, Optimism, Collaboration, Integrity, and Ambition.

In the center of attention will be you, members, friends, and supporters of AmCham Slovenia, who collectively contribute to a better living and business environment in Slovenia.
We especially thank our Patron members for the support, including at this AmCham Business Breakfast.

Former President of the Republic of Slovenia and author of the debut book “Zmaga je začetek” (Victory is the Beginning), Mr. Borut Pahor, will be with us to discuss who the real champions are, what the year 2024 brings, what victories signify, and what new beginnings bring.

Mr. Borut Pahor occupies an exceptional position in Slovenian politics. He served as the former President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia from 2000 to 2004 and then as a Member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2008. Subsequently, he assumed the role of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia from 2008 to 2012 and ultimately served as the President of the Republic of Slovenia from 2012 to 2022. In addition to his roles of national significance, fostering the unity of the nation and civic community, and dedication to public service, Mr. Pahor is a devoted European, an advocate for peaceful conflict resolution, and an individual with a high degree of responsibility. He is also recognized as a supporter of the Western Balkans, as evidenced by the establishment of the Institute of Friends of the Western Balkans. This initiative emerged in response to the needs he identified during his tenure as the Prime Minister and President, drawing on his political experiences in the region where he has forged numerous connections.

Blaž Brodnjak, the President of AmCham Slovenia and CEO& the President of the Board of NLB (Nova Ljubljanska banka), will extend the opening welcome and provide insights into the challenges and opportunities awaiting us in 2024.

The engaging discussion will be moderated by Ajša Vodnik, MSc, the CEO of AmCham Slovenia. This year, she also takes on the role of Chair of AmChams in Europe, leading an umbrella organization that unites 49 American Chambers of Commerce spanning over 47 countries.

We meet on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Hotel Slon, Slovenska cesta 34, Ljubljana.
