The 6th Annual Summer Economics Institute (SEI) will officially launch a new generation of 20 Slovenian university students on 10th of July.
Summer can also be a time for entrepreneurship, which is why AmCham Slovenia in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Slovenia each year links academic and business career through student internship program – Summer Economics Institute (SEI).
The 20 students will experience:
- A two week Lean Start up program with US Professor of Entrepreneurship with the aim of encouraging students in entrepreneurial activities,
- field trips to companies and institutions,
- lectures and discussions with exceptional guest speakers,
- Internships at AmCham Slovenia member companies, where students engage in business with a mentor.
The U.S. Ambassador to Slovenia H.E. Brent R. Hartley will officially welcome students and wish them good luck.
This year students will be interning at the following AmCham member companies: Bayer, Bisnode, CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz – Podružnica v Sloveniji, Competo, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Kolektor Group, KPMG, Lemur Legal, LUNA TBWA družba za komunikacije, Merck Sharp & Dohme, Pernod Ricard Slovenija, Petrol, Philip Morris Ljubljana, Špica International, The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Union Hoteli.
