As part of the Believe in Slovenia initiative, in which we present the stories of our “friendship ambassadors” in the USA, and highlight and connect some of the most exceptional individuals, we will talk to an internationally renowned scientist, Marinka Žitnik, PhD, Assistant Professor, Harvard University. At Harvard, she runs her own research laboratory for machine learning in medicine and science. Among many awards and achievements, she last received the Amazon Research Award in March last year for outstanding research into the use of machine learning in the treatment of new diseases.
