At yesterday’s online meeting, the AmCham Future of Work and Education Committee hosted the Switch to Eleven team – Jaka Kladnik and Nina Pozderec – who introduced members to how digital technologies, a learning culture, and adaptability shape organizations that are truly prepared for the challenges of our time.

Through practical examples, they demonstrated how teams can use visual tools such as Miro to gather more ideas in minutes than in a traditional meeting, and why participatory approaches, transparency, and autonomous teams are key to faster responses and an environment where employees and innovation can grow hand in hand. They also addressed the most common obstacles of classic hierarchies – from micromanagement and centralized decision-making to lack of trust and the perfectionism mindset that slows down responsiveness.

They highlighted the challenges brought by rapidly evolving artificial intelligence and new technologies. Organizations must therefore continuously strengthen flexibility, a culture of learning, and interdependent teams that can quickly adapt to change and new demands. As Jaka emphasized: “We’re not looking for one leader 24 hours a day. Everyone in the team needs to step into leadership – at least a few times a day.”

The meeting offered plenty of inspiration and opened space for reflection on how our organizations can take meaningful steps toward the future of work.
