AmCham Future of Work and Education Committee Meeting
At the May meeting of the AmCham Future of Work and Education Committee, we welcomed Maša Androjna, MSc in Psychology, Project Manager and HR Consultant at Profil d.o.o., to discuss organizational diagnostics and its impact on organizational culture, collaboration, and business development.
Participants explored how organizations today are no longer stable systems, as they are shaped by constant change, the need for rapid decision-making, hybrid work models, generational differences, and growing pressure to improve efficiency. As a result, companies often identify symptoms of challenges quickly—such as conflicts, burnout, high employee turnover, resistance to change, or poor collaboration—but find it much more difficult to uncover their underlying causes.
The speaker emphasized that organizational diagnostics is far more than a survey or an HR administrative exercise. It is a systematic approach to understanding organizational culture, behavioral patterns, communication, leadership, and an organization’s readiness for change. Its value lies in providing organizations with a more objective view of their current state, helping identify bottlenecks, recognize risks earlier, and make more targeted development decisions and interventions. At the same time, it helps individuals better understand their own behavioral and communication patterns and supports their professional growth.
Special attention was given to the role of leadership in shaping organizational culture, the importance of psychological safety and trust, and the idea that “culture is not built through declarations,” but through the everyday actions and example set by leadership teams.
