At its December meeting, the Intellectual Property and Digital Regulation Committee discussed expanding its activities and outlined key thematic priorities for 2026. Special emphasis was placed on digital regulation, legislation in the field of artificial intelligence, copyright in employment relationships, and knowledge transfer between the research and business environments.
The Committee continues to stress the need for strengthened cooperation with regulators and for improving the legislative and institutional framework for the management of intellectual property. It also plans to increase stakeholder engagement across different sectors and to develop educational content aimed at raising awareness and improving best practices in the field of IP protection.
The newly elected co-chairs, Eva Gostiša and Jaka Repanšek, agreed with the members that more effort must be devoted to awareness-raising and education of various stakeholders on topics related both to IP protection and digital legislation.
