At the latest extended meeting of the AmCham Ready 4D Future Committee, held on March 18, 2025, members of the Intellectual Property and Digital Regulation Committee and the Future of Work and Education Committee also joined the discussion. The central topics were the next steps in introducing digital language as a subject in primary and secondary schools and the opportunities that artificial intelligence (AI) presents for Slovenian businesses.

Boris Horvat, PhD, Co-Chair of the committee, presented key trends driven by the rapid development of AI, highlighting both the challenges and opportunities it brings to the business environment. A constructive discussion followed, where members shared their views on AI’s impact on everyday life and the challenges of its effective implementation in companies. It was emphasized that AI is often introduced without sufficient foresight or proper expertise, limiting its potential.

The discussion also touched on AI security and regulation, with expectations that regulatory frameworks will become even stricter. The meeting provided valuable insights that will shape the AmCham Business Breakfast in May, where we will explore the rapid advancement of AI and its impact on various aspects of our lives in greater depth.
