Yesterday, members of the AmCham Sustainable Growth Committee gathered for a meeting organised in cooperation with Corwin. The event focused on “Adapting to Climate Change in the Workplace” and took place in the Kvartet residential complex, an example of sustainable construction that incorporates advanced solutions for energy efficiency and quality of life.

The meeting was opened by Michal Maco, Director of Corwin Slovenia, who presented the company’s activities in the field of green building. In his presentation, he highlighted concrete examples of sustainable projects that Corwin is currently implementing, as well as technological and architectural solutions that contribute significantly to reducing the environmental footprint. One of the key themes of his presentation was the importance of LEED Platinum certification, which Corwin has successfully achieved for some of its projects.

Marjan Strnad, consultant and sales manager at Robotina, introduced the concept of smart buildings and digital solutions that enable efficient management of energy resources in buildings. He highlighted how smart technologies can reduce energy consumption, increase efficiency and contribute to a sustainable future.

The subsequent discussion was moderated by Marko Blatnik, Co-Chair of the Committee and CEO of VIOCON, who encouraged the participants to think about future challenges and solutions through different aspects of the discussion.

The meeting ended with questions from the participants and an opportunity for networking, where the Committee members continued to exchange experiences and ideas on sustainable approaches in the work environment.
