Dear members and friends of AmCham Slovenia,

Artificial intelligence is transforming the way we work, make decisions, and create.
The key question is: what role does the human play (and continue to play)?

AmCham Slovenia invites you to an AmCham Business Breakfast titled:

The Power of Being Human in an AI-Dominated Future

We will discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on work, education, skills, and decision-making.

This is no longer a question of the future, but a reality we are already living.

  • 60% of employees will require additional training by 2027 (WEF)
  • Approximately 28% of occupations are highly exposed to the risk of automation (OECD)
  • Artificial intelligence could impact nearly 40% of jobs globally (IMF)
  • Skills in AI-exposed roles are evolving 66% faster (PwC)
  • 63% of companies cite skills shortages as the main barrier to transformation (WEF)

We are honored to welcome the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, PhD. In a conversation with Ajša Vodnik, MSc, they will address the strategic outlook for Slovenia’s development in the age of artificial intelligence.

As a thought challenger, we will be joined by Beatrix Mészáros, a globally recognized expert in digital marketing and artificial intelligence and a member of the international team of professional lecturers at AIatWork. She will present a practical perspective on using AI in everyday work and how to integrate it as a tool rather than a replacement.

Panel guests Uroš Godnov and Boris Horvat will address the impact of artificial intelligence on work, skills, and decision-making, as well as the key implications for organizations.

In the age of artificial intelligence, it is becoming increasingly clear: technology can support learning, but it cannot replace relationships, understanding, and inspiration. This is why the teaching profession remains one of the most important for our future.

At the AmCham Business Breakfast, we will also announce the Teacher of the Year 2026. The title is awarded as part of the “I’ m a Teacher!” initiative, and the Teacher of the Year 2026 will also represent Slovenia at the global Global Teacher Prize selection.

We believe that teachers are the ones who shape the way future generations think and co-create the competencies that artificial intelligence cannot replace.

The discussion will be moderated by Ajša Vodnik, MSc, CEO of AmCham Slovenia and Chair of AmChams in Europe.

The event will be held in Slovenian with simultaneous translation into English.

The AmCham Business Breakfast will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the InterContinental Hotel, Slovenska cesta 59, 1000 Ljubljana, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Coffee to Connect will begin at 8:15 a.m. at the same location.

You can register via invitation you received by e-mail.
