Today, October 7, 2026, we kicked off a new season of YLC Empower Lunches with Benjamin Jošar, President of the Management Board at Triglav Investments. The lunch opened up conversations around topics that touch not only on our personal finances, but also on careers, leadership and the future of work.

Why do people in Slovenia approach money differently compared to many other countries? Our conversation about financial literacy and investing quickly turned to how our relationship with money is changing and where the future of investing is heading. Artificial intelligence will undoubtedly be part of that future, so we also explored how AI could shape investing, the way we work and the decisions we make in the years ahead.

The conversation went well beyond finance. With Benjamin Jošar, we also discussed different approaches to leadership, stepping into new roles and earning the trust of colleagues. We explored what younger generations bring to companies today and how leadership needs to evolve alongside them.

Mentorship was another important part of the conversation. The people we meet throughout our careers can have a significant impact on our development, especially when we have someone by our side who is willing to share their experience, ask the right questions and help us see things from a different perspective.

From first investments to trust, mentorship and artificial intelligence, the first Empower Lunch of the season covered a wide range of topics and, most importantly, offered plenty of insightful answers.
