Following an introductory presentation of the company, participants emphasized that investors choose countries that offer a stable and predictable business environment.

The key challenges limiting business growth, development, and employment include:

• Lengthy administrative procedures and the need for further deregulation and simplification of processes
• Labor shortages and labor market challenges
• Stronger alignment between the education system and the needs of the economy, ensuring that education keeps pace with business requirements
• Promoting Slovenian excellence in knowledge and development through a national strategy for showcasing Slovenian expertise and innovation

The discussion on both the positive experiences and the challenges of Slovenia’s business environment largely reflected the Committee’s positions presented in the ADVOCACY publication.
